Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition

Speechify is hiring a Software Engineer on its AI data team to support large-scale data collection for model training. The role focuses on bringing new audio data sources into the ingestion pipeline, extending cloud infrastructure, and helping improve dataset scale, cost, and quality for next-generation models.

Find new audio data sources and bring them into the ingestion pipeline, operate and extend cloud infrastructure running on GCP with Terraform, collaborate with scientists to improve cost, throughput, and data quality, and help shape the AI team’s dataset roadmap for future consumer and enterprise products.

BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
5+ years of software development experience.
Proficiency with Bash and Python scripting in Linux environments.
Proficiency with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.
Professional experience with at least one major cloud provider.
Experience with large-scale data processing or web crawler systems is a plus.
